Who
Priogen is a new-age renewable energy trading firm that aims to accelerate the energy transition by leveraging big data and advanced weather forecasting to fuel complex pricing algorithms.
They focus on optimising revenues for renewable energy parks, including windmill and solar parks, by managing risks, maximising megawatt value, reducing CO2 emissions and stabilising the grid.
Challenge
Priogen's finance department faced a growing challenge: the time and effort required to produce financial reports had increased significantly. This situation was beginning to impede the department's efficiency, potentially affecting its ability to support the company's growing trading volume and dynamic market activities.
How I helped
In my role, I collaborated closely with the Head of Finance and his 3-person team to enhance their financial infrastructure, by updating their financial reporting templates and refining both managerial and supervisory board reports.
These initiatives were designed to augment the company's financial oversight capabilities, ensuring the finance department could continue to support the continued growth of the organization.
